Hydration 4 Your Soul

"Hydration 4 Your Soul"

Topic: Take Time to______.

Message: Time is truly of the essence. Everyday and every hour spent is something that we can never change or get back. One of the main things inevitable in this world is time because it waits for no one. Whether it be time spent with family, friends and loved ones, time chasing after our passion and dreams, time to travel, or a time to laugh; there should always be time for something. There are 24 hrs in a day, 52 weeks and 12 months within a year...within this span what do you designate most of your time towards?

The most important things to me in my life would be family/friends, growing my relationship with God, accomplishing ALL of my dreams/aspirations, and traveling abroad (not necessarily in this order). These are all things I continually plan on devoting most of my  time to; some more than others. What I've realized from this past weekend while visiting my Aunt, who recently suffered a mild stroke in Orlando, is that no matter what, you must take time to connect with family. You never know how much your simple presence, phone call, or kind words can brighten a family member's day. Our days are numbered on this earth, so we must cherish each and everyday. Capture the footprint memories of yesterday and propel yourself into making new ones today. You never know when it could be your last or someone close to you; accept the good and the bad gracefully but always cherish the moments with each other. The elapsing of time on this earth is uncontrollable, so how have you been spending your time with others recently? Are you taking more time out for yourself or for others? What relative/friend have you not called to check on or visit lately? Time is steadily moving on as we reach the end of 2011, so what or who can you make more time for in 2012? In the words of one of my favorite artists Sade, "Cherish the Day."

Quotes:

"Take time to work, it is the price of success. Take time to play, it is the secret of perpetual youth. Take time to think, it is the source of power. Take time to read, it is the fountain of wisdom. Take time to pray, it is conversation with God. Take time to laugh, it is the music of the soul. Take time to listen, it is the pathway to understanding. Take time to dream, it is hitching your wagon to a star. Take time to worship, it is the highway of reverence. Take time to love and be loved, it is the gift of God." ~Anonymous

"Time is too slow for those who wait, too swift for those who fear, too long for those who grieve, too short for those who rejoice, but for those who love, time is eternity." ~Henry Van Dyke

"Yesterday is a canceled check; tomorrow is a promissory note; today is the only cash you have -- so spend it wisely." ~Kay Lyons

Closing Remarks: One of the best pieces of advice that I've been told by my family and friends is "don't waste time, capture the innocent memories of your youth, sprint after your dreams and goals, and grab the pieces marked by your destiny." These wise words I will never forget, thus, the reason why I plan to make the most of every moment from 2011-until. Let's take time to honor and cherish the people we love...
